Life is not about the destination, it is about the journey...

This weekend I took a trip with my boyfriend and a couple of friends. We jumped in the car at 6 a.m. on Friday morning and drove to Chicago. Now, I had only been to Chicago on accident 2 years earlier with my friend Nikki, who coincidentally was going as well. Unfortunately, I was sick with a cold the whole time that we were there. As soon as we got there we checked into our hotel where I took a nap for about 3 hours, that was much needed. When I woke up I was feeling much better, so me and Nikki decided to go wander around and try and find H&M. Basically once we walked a half hour to find H&M we got a call from the boys telling us to meet them at Navy Pier. So we started on our venture there, at least another half hour walk. For as sick as I was, I was just taking in the whole city. I just wish that I lived in a big city. My life would officially be complete if I lived in a big city. I am in love! We got to Navy Pier and I talked everyone into going on the ferris wheel, which was the best idea ever. You could see the whole city... it was beautiful and I got some great shots as well. Moments like I had on that ferris wheel, make life worth living for. After this, we went to dinner to enjoy some real Chicago pizza at Giordanos. It was absolutely amazing and so good that we could all only eat one piece. Then we decided to call it a night and go back to the room. I needed some sleep in order to feel better the next day.
We woke up and had Continental breakfast which is always delicious. Gotta love those waffles, mmmm! We started out to just walk around and enjoy the city for the day. We went to Michigan Ave. where we walked along and took in the city... it was so beautiful. We all decided that we were hungry so we found a bar that sold greasy food and beer. We enjoyed each others company and ate and drank for an hour or two and racked up quite a bill, but it was worth it. We then went back out on the streets and ended up finding a Lego store that the boys wanted to go to and coincidentally there was an American girl store right next door that me and Nikki went in. We all had a bit of a walk down memory lane as we enjoyed revisiting our childhoods. At this point we needed to head back to the hotel to get our car, so we ventured back. Once we got the car, we had to go find a Starbucks so I could get a Chicago Starbucks mug, of course. We had one last stop that we all wanted to make, to go see the bean. And that is what we did and headed on home. Once we got home we all passed out... We all had a great time that will be hard to forget.
